Installation Tools and Supplies Needed:

  • Spray Bottle and Nozzle
  • 8” Cleaner Squeegee
  • 5-1/2” Power Squeegee
  • Olfa Knife or Razor Blade (Use with extreme caution because you can score the paint.)
  • Slip Solution – Mix 2 Tablespoons Baby Shampoo to 1 Pint of Water
    • Used for positioning film.

Installation Steps

NOTE: Read all instructions before starting. Cleanliness is important: Any dirt, dust, paint, or stickers should be removed from surface before application. Impurities will show as a small bubble or spot when the Films adhesive has cured. When trimming on Lexan, mark the Film and trim on a separate surface using a razor blade or scissors. When trimming on glass use a stainless steel razor blade to prevent glass damage.

CAUTION: NEWVISION ANTI-FOG FILM DOES NOT HAVE A SCRATCH RESISTANT
COATING, IT WILL SCRATCH EASILY, BE CAREFUL

  1. Lay film on application surface and trim if necessary. Note: The Film has a backing, which needs to be removed. The side with the words “This Side Down” is the side that will be touching the application surface.

  2. Clean the area with application solution and the 8” cleaning squeegee.

  3. Remove the backing from the Film.

  4. Spray the adhesive side with application solution leaving no dry spots.

  5. Position the Film on the area to be coated.

  6. Wet the Film’s surface, then tack the Film using the 8” cleaning squeegee. Start in the middle, carefully working any air bubbles toward the edges.

  7. Wet the Film’s surface and power squeegee the Film with the 5-1/2” power squeegee using overlapping strokes.

  8. Curing time is 24-48 hours.
