Q: What is Paint Protection Film?

A: Paint Protection Film is a durable, urethane film that adheres directly to the painted surface of your vehicle, protecting it from everyday hazards.l

Q: What areas do the Paint Protection Kits cover?

A: The computerized kits are designed to protect the high impact areas of the vehicle. These areas include the hood, fenders, mirrors, front bumper, headlights, rockerpanels, truck ledge and door edges. Hood Kits range from 12 inches to 24 inches from the leading edge. Kits are also available that protect the entire hood and front fenders.

Q: How does Paint Protection Film Change the look of the vehicle?

A: Paint Protection Film is designed to be virtually invisible once installed on your vehicle. If close enough, there are some edges that can be seen, but the altered appearance is very minimal. Overall, from just a few feet back, Paint Protection Film is not visible on your vehicle.

Q: Can Paint Protection Film be removed from the vehicle without damaging the surface underneath?

A: Yes. When installed properly, the removal process is relatively easy and will not harm your paint.
Warning: If the paint protection film is applied to a vehicle that has been
repainted or touched up and has not been properly cured, there is a slight risk of peeling your paint upon removal.

Q: How is Paint Protection Film maintained?

A: After installation, it is recommended to allow 24 hours for the film to fully cure to the vehicle. Once cured, Paint Protection Film should be washed and waxed on a regular basis to maintain its original clarity and shine. Any white reside that builds up on the edges of the kit can be easily removed with a soft cloth once dry.
Warning: It is important to stay clear of any waxes that contain harsh abrasives and dyes. We recommend using Zymol Cleaner and Wax regularly to maintain the film's clarity and shine.

Q: Can Paint Protection Film be applied over graphics?

A: Yes. The clear film will not interfere with painted or vinyl graphics. However, damage may occur to the underlying graphic during the removal process.

Q: Can paint Protection Film be applied to boats or other watercraft?

A: Yes. As long as the film is fully cured before any use under water.
