Visibility is very important when driving a car, and even more crucial when racing a car. ProShield® tear-offs are designed to give you a clear view and protect your windshield from becoming prematurely damaged. ProShield® tear-offs can be layered up to 12 layers thick and removed one at a time when needed. Our story begins in the early 90's with a few race teams that we worked with, and seeing the kind of problems they had with their windshields. When returning from a race, the windshield was nearly impossible to see through. You see, NASCAR required the teams to use a Lexan windshield, much safer than stock glass. Lexan would prevent any objects from coming through the windshield, a great advantage over traditional glass and much safer. Lexan however unbreakable can nick and pit easily. This makes the windshield difficult to clean, and creates a white haze or glare that can obscure a driver's vision. After a few hundred miles, the windshield can be nearly impossible to see through. At the end of longer events, the windshield most likely needs to be replaced.

We created the solution; Our ProShield® tear-off has a patented scratch resistant coating that will not turn white or haze like Lexan. (In recent tests conducted by the military, it performed better than glass) Increasing the life of the windshield and offering better visibility for longer runs. For the more demanding drivers, abrasive tracks, and endurance events, our ProShield® tear-offs have been applied up to 12 layers thick to save time in pit stops, and avoid changing a windshield at the track, or in the race.
